A Sacred Pause in the Season of Reflection

Join us at Vaughan Park for a series of five reflective mornings in Lent—a time to step away from the busyness of daily life and enter into a sacred space of prayer, contemplation, and renewal.

 

Retreat Details

  • Tuesdays in Lent
  • 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Vaughan Park Retreat & Conference Centre
  • Cost: $70 per morning or $300 for all 5 weeks
  • Morning tea included
  • Lunch available as a separate booking ($28)

 

Each morning will include:

  • Biblical reflection
  • Contemplation on an image
  • Personal quiet time
  • Concluding prayer in the Ruatara Chapel

  • Tuesday 25 March – Generous Anointing
  • Tuesday 1 April – Action with Integrity
  • Tuesday 8 April – Prayer in Lonely Places
  • Tuesday 15 April (Holy Week) – Gathering Under the Wings

 

What to Bring

To make the most of your retreat experience, we encourage you to bring:

  • A Bible
  • A cushion (if needed for comfort)
  • Reading glasses
  • Writing pens
  • A spiritual journal (optional, but encouraged)

Retreat Leader – Jacky Sewell

Jacky is a priest, theological educator, musician, singer, gardener, artist, and retreat leader. Now semi-retired from teaching theology, she co-leads the Diocesan Training Programme for ordinands and offers retreats across Auckland, including at Vaughan Park.
